17.03.2015 – Migration Diary

In 8th day the weather was very cold, which is affected on the northern wind. Because of this, the birds crossed mostly at the south side of Bosphorus. Probably, more birds that I counted passed from the southern side. Approximately 2000 birds that contain White Storks, Common Buzzards, Sparrowhawks, Kestrels, Marsh Harriers, Hen Harriers, Greater Spotted Eagles and White-tailed Eagle acrossed today. I estimate that tomorrow will be a good day for watching the migration. In fact, if the northern winds will be less powerful in  comparison to today, more migrants would be counted.
