31.03.2015 – Migration Diary

In 22th day, the weather conditions were very variable. In between 11:00 and 16:00, downpour affected the counting, however; despite of the downpour the passing continued with not large numbers but small numbers. The total number was 1,000. Today’s species are respectively White Stork, Common Buzzard, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Booted Eagle, Sparrowhawk, Black Stork, Short-toed Snake Eagle,  Greater Spotted Eagle, Kestrel, Black Kite, Montagu’s Harrier, Hen Harrier and Marsh Harrier. Especially Chaffinch, White Wagtail, Alpine Swift, Swift, Barn Swallow, Red-rumped Swallow, Yellow Wagtail, Tree Pipit, Meadow Pipit; and other passerines continue their migration. The expected movement will probably occur tomorrow and the following day. You should be careful about high winds if you will come to watch migration.
