01.04.2015 – Migration Diary

23th day was under the thumb of southwester. Because of the high southern winds, the migrants probably was dragged towards north side of the Bosphorus. The movement happened from early morning to evening hours. The total number that mainly consist of White Stork is about 8,000. Today’s species are respectively White Stork, Common Buzzard, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Black Stork, Sparrowhawk, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Black Kite, Booted Eagle, Marsh Harrier, Hen Harrier, Greater Spotted Eagle, Osprey, Steppe Eagle, Rough-legged Buzzard and Long-legged Buzzard. If the rain will not affect, the movement could continue tomorrow.
