12.04.2015 – Migration Diary

34th day started with foggy weather, and finished with sunny and warm weather. The total number that is consist mostly of Whiter Storks is about 3,000. The species are respectively White Stork, Common Buzzard, Sparrowhawk, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Booted Eagle, Marsh Harrier, Black Stork, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Black Kite, Hobby, Pallid Harrier, Peregrine Falcon and Kestrel. The number of wagtails that has passed with big numbers in the previous days has decreased; in contrass, the numbers of swallows and swifts has increased. According to weather forecast, tomorrow the weather will be good; however, sparse passing at the evening from today points that tomorrow could not start good in terms of migration. And that’s why making a prediction for tomorrow is very difficult. Still, the Bosphorus is always full of surprises.
