14.04.2015 – Migration Diary

Together with today, 36th day, the half of the study finished. The weather conditions was very  variable. The Bee-eaters that passed far away during last 2 days will begin to be seen with big groups. In evening, the Lesser Spotted Eagles passed over the Bosphorus with big numbers and this mobility may be continue tomorrow. As expected, Ospreys continue to be seen at evening times. The total number is 2,000 for today, the species are respectively White Stork, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Common Buzzard, Sparrowhawk, Booted Eagle, Osprey, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Kestrel, Hen Harrier, Marsh Harrier, Long-legged Buzzard, Hobby, Black Kite and Black Stork. Probobly in the coming days, the number of Lesser Spotted Eagle will increase. In addition, today two different lesser spotted eagles, one of them has wing band and other one has a logger, are seen from far away.
