15.04.2015 – Migration Diary

37th day was warm. Behind the Lesser Spotted Eagle passing in the morning, Common Buzzard passed overthe Bosphorus. Today, another lesser spotted eagle with logger is seen, again far away. After a long time, the number of raptors was more than the number of storks. The cranes that is seen rarely at the Bosphorus is recorded today. The species are respectively Common Buzzard, White Stork, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Sparrowhawk, Marsh Harrier, Kestrel, Black Kite, Booted Eagle, Black Stork, Hobby, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Long-legged Buzzard, Greater Spotted Eagle, Peregrine Falcon and Hen Harrier. As I expected, in the coming days tha passing will be similar with today. According to logger birds data, late migrants’s passing will be soon.
