28.04.2015 – Migration Diary

50th day had changeable weather conditons. After the hot weather in the morning, the rain has started at 17:00. The white storks increased total number of migrants today. Although the number of Honey Buzzard is increasing, the other raptors’ number tend to decrease as expected. The number of the Black Stork has increased slightly. The Steppe Eagles still continue to surprise me. The migration of big flock of Spoonbill was also recorded today and the voice of Bee-eater was hearded. THe total number was about 6.000 and the species are White Stork, Common Buzzard, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Honey Buzzard, Black Stork, Sparrowhawk, Black Kite, Marsh Harrier, Steppe Eagle, Booted Eagle, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Hobby, Montagu’s Harrier, Pallid Harrier and Kestrel. Because of the rain, saying something for tomorrow is very difficult.
