03.05.2015 – Migration Diary

55th day was warm and overcast, after afternoon the passing was better than the morning. There was a slight increase at the number of White Stork and the number of Levant Sparrowhawk was high today like yesterday. The Steppe Eagles are still being recorded.The first Eleonora`s Falcon for this season was seen today! Moreover, the other extraordinary species for Istanbul was Rock Thrush! The total number was about 2,000 and the species are White Stork, Honey Buzzard, Common Buzzard, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Black Stork, Sparrowhawk, Levant Spawrowhawk, Booted Eagle, Hobby, Kestrel, Black Kite, Steppe Eagle, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Eleonora`s Falcon, Griffon Vulture and Marsh Harrier. Tomorroww, the passingg could be similar with today.
